If you are quite into orkut communities then you must have realized that orkut never allows a topic starter to delete the entire topic. This privilege was with the community owners and moderators only. Third party hacks were used to perform this action. Orkut has now realized the worth of this basic utility and has finally introduced it.
If you wish to delete a topic started by you in any community, you just need to open the topic and at the bottom-right section, you will find an option to delete the topic.
