Orkut just added a new feature which recommends orkut communities to you on basis of some calculations. For example, you will be recommended a community, because you are a part of a related community or many of your friends are in that community. You also have an option to view the reason why a particular community was recommended to you.

» Configuring – Recommended Communities Feature

• Recommended communities are listed below your friends and above your communities on your home page.
• This section has been added in your communities tab.

• You can navigate to recommendations tab to view these recommended communities
• You can add or ignore the recommendations.
• You can also get the reason why orkut recommended this community to you
• In case you don’t want this feature, you can easily turn it off by navigating to My Settings page.

• Look out for community recommendations section. Uncheck the check-box and update your profile.
