Spywareguide is reporting a situation where infection links are being sent to twitter users. Twitter users who are also registered with orkut are at a greater risk since the links are malicious in nature.

Spywareguide blog confirmed that pages linked to by the twitter profile either try and get you to download an infection file straight away, or pretend you’re installing a Flash update: Once the files are run on the PC, a variety of malicious files will be installed and various types of data theft may be attempted. One of the executable file will pop open the Orkut website in what is obviously an attempt to get you to fill in your user details.
