The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of India is the parent NGO believing in what we said above. It is dedicated to granting the cherished wishes of children between the ages of 3 and 18 years, living with life-threatening illnesses, irrespective of their socio-economic status, caste, race or religion.
Since its inception in 1996 the foundation in India has granted over 14,500 wishes across 9 divisions – Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Goa, Pune & Bangalore and helped such children realize their most cherished wishes – granting more wishes than any other affiliate country in the world.
World over marathons are revered for the emotional connect that they establish in the hearts and minds of the citizens. A marathon provides the city with a platform to come together in a celebration that cuts across social and economic barriers. It is an event that stirs the conscience of every citizen, encouraging them to reach out in aid of a cause or charity.
In the coming month (November 9, 2008), Airtel is Organizing one such marathon in Delhi and you can support the cause of Make-a-Wish by funding for the cause of the foundation via the Marathon.
