Yahoo has started a great service which allows it’s users to create their own customized Yahoo! Messenger which users can use on multiple websites to stay in touch with their friends on yahoo.
So, you too can create your own Yahoo! Ping Box (That’s what they call it..) and embed it in your orkut scrapbook..Pretty nice..Isn’t It?
Get Your Yahoo Pingbox and Embed it in your Orkut Scrapbook
- Make sure you are logged in to Yahoo.
- Navigate to Yahoo Pingbox! Studio
- Create your customized pingbox with any desired theme.
- Now once you choose save option, you’ll be taken to the next page which will provide you with the embed code.
- Here choose Hi5 because that code is compatible with Orkut.
- Copy the embed code and post it as a scrap in your scrapbook or even your friends’ scrapbook.
- Done. You are all set for a cool chat session with your yahoo friends on orkut.

Is there any way i can use this in orkut status message or profile ‘about me’? i mean at ANY place where people are regular visitors… many people just do not bother to see the posts in the scrapbook.

The best part is Pingdom can be used on any webpage or personal blog ..and is very handy.. Though sometime it freaks me out when any visitor visit the blog and my yahoo messenger starts showing continuous online and offline popups.
