We recently posted about the release of Orkut share API which webmasters can implement on their websites and visitors can easily share your content with their orkut friends in a single click.

Today we are happy to announce the release of our first wordpress plugin for orkut – Share on Orkut. This will make integration of orkut share button on your wordpress (self hosted) websites pretty easy and fun.

As you can see in the above screenshot, the plugin adds a ‘orkut share’ button below every post in your wordpress blog. When a user clicks the button, a popup opens showing the share or promote page. When the user shares your post, the update is posted in ‘Friend’s Updates’ section and ‘Orkut Promote’ section which is placed on the top right sidebar in your orkut home page.

The plugin can be downloaded from the official wordpress plugin page or alternatively can be installed via automatic plugin installer built in WordPress.
